Droopy and tired eyes give you the warning that your body requires rest. The skin around your eyes is sensitive and delicate and contains many blood vessels. The various reasons behind droopy eyes can be multiple. Excessive stress and fatigue can cause eye fatigue. Excessive reading, writing or even exposure to computer screen, smart phones or video games for long period can cause your eyes to become fatigued and droopy. Sometimes sleep deprivation can also cause excess fluids to be trapped around the eye. This can also cause your eyes to become droopy and develop under eye bags.

Here are some ways in which you can relax your eyes, so that next time when you develop a droopy eye or under eye bag, you would know what to do.

  1. Drink water- Drinking adequate quantity of water can cure tired eyes like magic. When your body is hydrated, your body does not retain water, which is the main reason behind the swelling of other body parts as well as under eye area. The added advantage is that water also helps your body to flush toxins. Drink a minimum of 8-10 glasses of water every day. Another good remedy is to use hydrating under eye creams, which can rejuvenate your eyes.

  1. Tea bags- Tea bags can reduce morning puffiness of your eyes. Chilled tea bags can refresh your tired eyes. Refrigerate a used tea bag, then lie back, and put the tea bags on your eyes. Stay like this for 20-30 minutes. Then wash your eyes. You will have fresh and bright eyes in no time. The caffeine present in tea bags constricts the blood vessels and therefore they cannot cause swelling under your eyes.

  1. Aloe Vera- Aloe Vera contains vitamin E and anti-oxidants, which can reduce puffiness of your eyes. This may also help in reducing under eye wrinkles and fine lines. Aloe Vera has properties, which can flush out toxins and improve blood circulation around your eyes. You either can use Aloe Vera gel or under eye creams which contains Aloe Vera extracts.

  1. Eye pillow- If your eyes are fatigued due to sleep deprivation then eye pillows can work miraculously. Eye pillows have soothing agents like Aloe Vera, chamomile, eucalyptus and rosemary, which can relax the nerves around your eyes and can help in having a deep and sound sleep.

Therefore, bring back life to your fatigued eyes by these methods. To know more about relaxation methods for your eyes you can explore Joy by Nature or click here.
